To the Girl on the Train

(Fareham – Chichester, mid-eve March 25th, ’97)

Strange that, catching your eyes
There you were, I couldn’t look
Where I would not see you again:
We went beyond the sense of that
To hold in place, in mirror position
A sneaking inflection, darting through woods
Pretending to read words that float in the night
Jutting and wild, to return to deep mystery
An awesome power, equal counterpart
Repel and attract.

I somehow glimpsed your ankles
You know how that made me feel
Two halves can swap, gracefully inward
Sucking in spirit and silence
Caressing the body, sexy as hell!
The boy and girl in balance
Outward, infinite, seeping orgasm
Still here in elements . . .
No turbulence in the timeless world.
I’ll dream you up tonight, for sure,
To swallow, like the comet
That contains the presence of me!
